This presentation discusses issues around the rising cesarean delivery rate. It examines what conditions contribute to the current increase in cesareans. The evidence regarding the indications for performing cesarean delivery is changing and is discussed. Finally, strategies for helping to perform cesarean deliveries in a safe and evidence based environment are addressed.
