BETA personnel across the organization are participating in upcoming conferences:

  • Deanna Tarnow, B.A., RN, CPHRM and Senior Director, Risk Management & Safety will serve as one of four panelists with Tim McDonald, M.D., J.D., Tom Gallagher, M.D., Renee Bernard, J.D. (The Mutual) at the session entitled “Communication and Resolution Programs: Five New Developments each Insurer Must Embrace” at the Crittenden Medical Insurance Conference April 5-7, 2020 in Miami, Florida. Jonathan Stewart, Director, Risk Management & Patient Safety is moderating the session.
  • Jonathan D. Stewart, J.D., M.S., RN, CPPS, CPHRM will present on BETA’s innovative application of cognitive interviewing techniques to adverse event investigations in healthcare at the Northwest Patient Safety Conference in Seattle on May 11, 2020.
  • Lisa Matheny, B.S.N., RN, CPHRM, C-EFM and Larry Veltman, MD are presenting a session on the topic of human factors in OB at the American Society For Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) Annual Conference October 11-14, 2020 in Phoenix, AZ.
  • Jonathan D. Stewart, J.D., M.S., RN, CPPS, CPHRM and Al Duke, MBA, B.S.N., RN, CPHRM, CEN, CPPS will present on cognitive interviewing at a workshop at the American Society For Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) Annual Conference on October 11, 2020.
